The GW University Singers present - William Walton's Belshazzar's Feast

William Walton's 'Belshazzar's Feast' premiered in 1931 at the Leed's Festival in England. Walton's piece, with text taken from Psalm 137 and the Book of Daniel, tells the story of the exiled Jews that regain their freedom from Babylon when King Belshazzar dies after using one of the Jews' sacred vessels. Originally scored for massive orchestra, the performance will feature Grace Cho, piano and Neil Weston, organ.
