The GW Symphonic Band performs a wide variety of music ranging from advanced symphonic literature to popular show tunes. The ensemble, which was established in 1989, offers an opportunity for music and non-music majors alike to continue making music throughout their college careers.

Founded in 1993, the GW Wind Ensemble is selected from the most outstanding musicians at the George Washington University.  The ensemble is dedicated to performing the finest quality wind literature for campus and community audiences, while furthering the study and accessibility of repertoire from diverse musical periods.

The GW University Orchestra performs a wide array of music, from contemporary to traditional orchestral repertoire, often featuring soloists from within the ensemble, the faculty and the professional community. The orchestra performs two to three times a year on campus. Members come from the varied and talented GW community, with students representing different GW disciplines including Engineering, Science, Pre-Med, Political Sciences, International Affairs, and Music.
